Genealogy Research

Looking up your ancestors can be an exciting journey of discovery, providing insight into your family’s roots and heritage. With perserverance and patience, you can piece together your family tree and uncover the stories of your ancestors, enriching your understanding of your own identity and heritage. It helps to have your parents & grandparents names, including middle names (maiden names for maternal side) and Birthdates.

Performances

Saturday concerts by the Orrville Community Band and Honeytown.

Honeytown plays 100% raw, organic, pure acoustic music. This evening will be a joyous time to reconnect, sit back, and enjoy original and favorite renditions. Prior to the concert, feel free to stroll through the restored Sonnenberg Village, and get your food from the on-site food trucks!

There will be 3 performances of “The Promised Land”: Friday at 7:00pm, Saturday at 4:00pm and Sunday at 2:00pm. Tickets are $5 per person, children 5 and under are free. Families of 5 can purchase a package for $20. Tickets can be reserved by calling Sharon: 330-466-7439.

Heritage Artisans

Heritage artisans will be demonstrating their skills in the art of blacksmithing, the printing press, weaving, and a land organ.

Is there an admission fee?

No, all events are free except “The Promised Land” play. Tickets are sold by phone for the play and on-site (unless sold out). Tickets for the play can be reserved by calling Sharon: 330-466-7439.

Where is the event located?

How do I purchase tickets for the play?

Where do I park?

Parking will be in the field on the west side of the Village.

Are wheelchairs, strollers, and walkers allowed?

Yes, and handicap restrooms are available in the welcome center.

May I bring my pet?

Yes, pets are welcome if they are on a leash, controlled, and their waste is disposed of properly.

Where are the restrooms?

There are restrooms at the Welcome Center (handicap accessible) and portable toilets on the south side of the barn.

What kinds of food are planned?

The Sonnenberg Food Truck featuring BBQ Ham sandwiches, Schlonegers Homemade Ice Cream, Tommy’s Classic American Food Truck, and more. There is a tented area with tables and chairs for eating.

What if it is raining?

The event will be held rain or shine.
